Mitch and I treated Renee to The Golden State burger restaurant on Fairfax. It's a quaint little place, with brick walls and wonderful contemporary artwork as decor. There's a reason why they only have one--that's right ONE--burger on the menu (there's turkey and veggie alternatives of it of course). It is by far our favorite of all the restaurants we've tried so far down the list. Delicious and perfectly cooked meat (we had medium rare), a hint of bacon, and fresh veggies. The Veggie burger was delicious too. Fries were golden crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Add a mexican coke, arnold palmer, and root beer off the tap for beverages and you've got one great meal. We ended it with their delicious gelato. Superb food outing if i must say.
