Charrette Week!

Just a few pieces from the Charrette. It was very successful I hope we do it again next quarter! But at the beginning, not middle during midterms. Congrats on a great job everyone!

Students had 36 hours to create a self-portrait and display it in the art building.

Finally.

So I've been lagging on bringing myself up to date with technology I suppose. I've owned an Apple Powerbook G4 for 6 years (purchased it after high school) and it has served me well throughout my college career, but I finally had enough money to purchase a new Macbook Pro 15" and I'm in love with it. From the Snow Leopard OS to being able to use all my pretty CS5 software (finally can use After Effects. I've been borrowing the boyfriends Macbook for a year now.) I feel more motivated than ever to make this and next quarter a success and build the most beautiful graphic design portfolio you've seen. Be prepared for adorable, clean, sweet, design.

Victorian Blue

Just finished this, but these photos were taken last night, which is prior to me painting the skirt. I hand painted the feather, had the boyfriend drill the holes and tied in the corset ribbon. Acrylic on 4 Wood panels (various sizes).

High Fidelity

Re-design of the High Fidelity book cover I did for fun. Not fully satisfied, so I’ll probably revisit it and do a different idea. School’s back so I’ll most likely be posting hand done paintings, illustrations, and such. Kind of sucks not having any graphic design classes anymore :( I only have portfolio left.

Swell Season

Poster I made this week. It went through A LOT of revisions. It's funny how much of a difference many small changes can make. Fairly satisfied, so I may revisit it again later on. Thinking of doing a more hand crafted version with real paper cut outs.

LACMA with Boyfriend

   



  



Went to the LACMA on its free day (every second Tuesday of the month), and it was his first time being there. It's got to be my favorite art museum in the Los Angeles area. So much to see, we spent 3 hours there. The contemporary wing is my favorite. Nothing like soaking up some beautiful inspiration on a beautiful sunny California day.
